Carving a path of more than 4500 km through the mighty Himalaya from Bhutan to Pakistan, the Great Himalaya Trail (GHT) is the longest and highest alpine walking track on Earth.
World Expeditions is proudly the first to offer fully-supported commercial treks along the entire length of the Nepal section of the GHT (1700 km), traversing the country from east to west and offering an extraordinary diversity of landscapes, cultures and experiences.
Make no mistake, this is a grueling challenge requiring a high level of fitness, commitment and determination—but your hard work will be justly rewarded with a transformative journey through remote and remarkable environments on what is arguably the world’s most epic trek.
Soaking up a daily-changing landscape of spectacular views of the Himalaya, you’ll trek along winding mountain trails that lead to remote villages and rarely-visited valleys and ascend high passes between the snowcapped faces of the world’s highest peaks.
You’ll encounter the rich cultures of the isolated communities that welcome you along the way, and forge lifelong friendships with your fellow trekkers and support crew. As part of our commitment to sustainable tourism we take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints behind in these fragile mountain environments.
The Nepal GHT can be undertaken in one continuous trek of 152 days, but acknowledging that most of us simply don’t have the luxury of this sort of time for our adventures, we’ve crafted seven stand-alone stages that can be completed individually or trekked together to make up the full traverse.
Take a look at our GHT treks and join us for a life-changing trekking experience!
