Nepal - Community Project Travel

From beginning to the end the trip was fantastic. We had two wonderful guides with completely different strengths. Both leaders were very professional and caring. The trek was magnificent. It was well worth climbing to see the wonderful views once we reached Namche Bazaar. Our guides were wonderful. They did a great job of looking out for us on the trek and a fantastic job of looking after us in camp. The food was amazing. The porters were also really friendly and helpful and deserve medals for lugging all our gear around.

The local villagers at Jumbesi made us feel really welcome and put on a special dinner at the monastery. We were overwhelmed with the welcome they gave us and also the thank you. We had a great bunch of other trekkers on the trip and we were all matched up well with our room mates. We were very lucky with the weather and had day after day of awe inspiring views. There is not one bad thing that I can say about the trip. The trip was a life changing experience and I would love to do it all again. I would like to thank everyone involved. And I hope that one day I get to travel again with World Expeditions.

Cusco and Machu Picchu

This one week trip explores the famous sites of the Incas including Cusco, the Sacred Valley and concludes at Machu Picchu, while featuring comfortable hotels in central locations. Acclimatise in the charming town of Cusco at 3400m before journeying to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Explore the Inca village of Ollantaytambo and follow in the footsteps of Hiram Binham, who discovered the 'lost city of the Incas'. Experience this very famous 15th-century archaeological Inca site, perched in the Andes Mountains. Rather than rush back to Cusco, we spend a night at Aguas Calientes, with its scenic location down in the valley, and an opportunity to soak in the hot springs. From here, head up to Machu Picchu for sunrise, a breathtaking and incredibly memorable experience. Leaving Machu Picchu on a picturesque train trip, the journey returns to Ollantaytambo before enjoying time in Cusco.
