At the southern end of the African continent, the countries we visit are packed with adventure, nature, culture and scenery. From the vast dunes of the Namibian desert, to the teeming animal life of Etosha, this itinerary traverses the greatest parks, rivers and landscapes that Africa’s south has to offer. From Cape Town we head north, passing through the Namaqualand region, and witness the Orange River plummet 56m over Augrabies Falls. We travel into the starkly beautiful Kalahari and spend two nights in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. At the extremities of the vast Namib Desert we marvel at Fish River Canyon, second largest in the world, and observe wildlife in Etosha National Park. Travelling through the Caprivi Strip and via the Okavango River into Botswana be part of an unforgetable wildlife encounter along the Chobe River. We want to let you and all your company know that we greatly enjoyed the entire experience. Misheck is a first class guide, very knowledgeable on a huge range of subjects, an excellent communicator, a caring trip leader and with a good sense of humour. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. We also found the vehicle very suitable for the trip. Visibility was excellent and it was great to be able to drop the windows right down for photographs. All the accommodation was good. All the places we visited were spectacular and interesting - Wildlife in Chobe and Etosha; Namib Desert Scenery; Transfrontier landscapes, wildlife and local guides; Fish River Canyon amazing, the spectacular display of flamingos at Walvis Bay, and so much more. We feel we could have stayed at each place a day or so more as there was just so much to take in. Our only regret is missing out on Cheetahs and Meerkats - we'll just have to come again in the next year or so. We'd like to convey our thanks and congratulations to all who helped to make ours such a great trip.
