Arnhem Land Community Project Travel

It was such a great trip. Really rewarding to clean up the beautiful beaches up there - we found lots of ghost nets, which made us all feel glad to be there so we could get rid of them (didn't find any trapped turtles but saw lots of turtle tracks on the beaches) - and to hang out with the Dhimurru rangers and learn a bit about Yolngu culture. ....weather was sunny most days, and warm but not too hot - we even went swimming in the sea most days.

The Wicklow Way - 7 Days

This walking holiday in Ireland winds its way through the Wicklow Mountains, one of the country’s most spectacular areas. Stretching some 130km south of Dublin the Wicklow Way explores unspoilt trails, remote scenery, lakes, glacial valleys, forests and gentle farmland. Starting in the southwest the route passes through rural communities, old market towns and grand estates on its way to the bright lights of Dublin.

Brief Itinerary

DAY 1 Transfer from Rathdrum to Tinahely
DAY 2 Tinahely to Moyne taking in fantastic views of the adjoining counties of Carlow and Wexford (3hrs)
DAY 3 Walk from The Iron Bridge to Glenmalure (5.5hrs)
DAY 4 Climb up out of the valley visiting Glenmalure Waterfall. Cross the side of Mullacor Mountain and into the valley of Glendalough (3.5hrs)
DAY 5 Short transfer to Roundwood, the highest village in Ireland and walk to Enniskerry (4.5hrs)
DAY 6 Walk over Prince William's Seat and into Dublin City (4.5hrs)
DAY 7 Trip concludes
