Just wanted to say a HUGE thanks for all that you both did to get us up Mera Peak!
It made for the BEST (and most challenging) holiday, and we are singing the praises of World Expeditions to all we know.
Look forward to travelling with you again
Types of Adventures
Our adventure travel holidays are rated not just in terms of the destinations we visit but also by the type of journey and activity we offer. Our exploratory treks involve trekking in variable conditions, on some days more than eight or even twelve hours a day. They include travel along remote, ill defined trails and may venture into snow and ice requiring the use of mountaineering boots, crampons and ice axe. Expect to carry up to 12-15kgs in your rucksack on some stages of the expedition. You may well spend a reasonable portion of the trip at altitude (with some days in excess of 5500m) and normally have several camps on glaciers. You will need an excellent level of fitness and be completely comfortable in adverse weather conditions in remote areas. Suggested preparation: One hour of aerobic type exercise, four to five times a week for three to six months prior to departure. Hill walking with a pack in variable weather conditions.
